Show & Sale Highlights:
Although we are more interested in improving the efficiency of beef
production than in the beauty contests of the Show Ring, we are very aware of
the importance of structure. Therefore we try to exhibit at a few major
shows where it is great to check out our own perceptions
with those of other people and to talk cattle with so many interesting
folk. It also gives our clients extra opportunities to talk with us and
view the wares.
(We look forward to the day when all cattle judging embraces performance along
with structure. Breeders have the opportunity to use performance when selecting within
their own herds
and it seems an insult not to allow a judge the same facility.)
Congratulations to Premier Limousins. Their Melbourne
Interbreed Supreme Heifer was a granddaughter of the famous White
Lakes Exotic.
Congratulations to Hayley Sheehan of the Waterford Stud, Tasmania.
Their 3yr old Interbreed Grand Champion Female and Supreme Exhibit at the
Devonport Limousin Feature Show was a granddaughter of White Lakes Black Opal.
